Capturing life in photographs and watercolor

My grandma Judd always watched out for me. I was the youngest. She saw I was searching for something to direct my passion. She gave me an old camera, some flash bulbs (what are those?) and a few rolls of film. That sparked my interest. 5 decades later, I carry a camera. It is a bit more expensive that my first. I now travel extensively throughout the Northwest capturing images of wildlife, landscapes, decaying old trucks, houses and ghost towns. I have come to realize that photography is a language that no other language can communicate.

Since then, I’ve added art to my list of passions. I primarily work in a style called Ink and Wash, a technique that combines a sketches with an overlay of watercolor. It’s a very loose medium. It lends itself to a whimsical approach to my subjects. I hope you enjoy my work.
