Meet the Artists

Brad Fransen

Brad is a photographer with over 50 years experience capturing the beauty and history of the Northwest. He specializes in landscape, wildlife and images of the past. He can’t pass a good photo of a rusty old truck or decaying cabin.

His travels have taken him across the Northwest capturing imagery from small isolated towns to dramatic natural wonders.

He is also an artist, primarily watercolor, with a whimsical slant on his subjects.

Jo Storey

Creating, drawing, painting and seeing the beauty in things has been a gift that I have always enjoyed.  No matter what path I ventured along, and there has been a few, the one constant in my life has been my art.  It is just who I am.  Along this creative journey I have made many friends and shared my love of painting with so many special people.  It has been a great blessing.

I began drawing and painting as a child growing up on Browns Point, Washington.  As an adult, I used my degree from Western Washington University to rambled around the United States for "real work" while living in Washington, Hawaii, Oregon, Pennsylvania and Minnesota.  In my wonderings, I escaped corporate America to spend time with my young son and train at Minnesota River School of Fine Art. Then went on to own my Savage Arts Studio & Gallery which included a community art  school, artist studios and art gallery.  Our group helped create multiple annual arts events, shows and artist groups in Savage and Scott County, MN.  Although I loved it all, we (my husband and I) tired of the the cold winters and returned to the Western Washington in 2017.

We now live in Tacoma, where I love creating in my studio and venturing outdoors to capture our Salish Sea communities. I enjoy working with commission clients and students to create works specifically for them, as well as, working on my own projects.  I have traveled a lot and still think the Pacific Northwest is one of the most exceptional and beautiful places in the world. It is where I belong.
